Zero Conditional: certainty

IF + present simple + present simple

SI + présent + présent

First Conditional: real possibility

IF + present simple + future simple

If it rains, i will buy an umbrella

I will buy an umbrella if it rains.

SI + présent + futur simple

S'il pleut, j'acheterai un parapluie

J'acheterai un parapluie, s'il pleut

Second Conditional: unreal possibility or dream

IF + past simple + WOULD + base verb

If I won the lottery I would buy a car.

SI + imparfait + conditionnel

Si je gagnais à la lotterie, j'acheterais une voiture.

Third Conditional: no possibility

IF + Past Perfect + WOULD HAVE + Past Participle

If I had won the lottery I would have bought a car.

SI + Plus que parfait + Futur anterieur

Si j'avais gagné à la lotterie, j'aurais acheté une voiture.
